Between April 24 to April 28 a committee comprised of distinguished Professors and Scientists from international institutions appointed by the Hellenic authority for Higher Education reviewed the International Program in Medicine of the University of Crete. The committee was very enthusiastic about the program, fully supported its commencement, and provided useful suggestions for its implementation.

 In their draft report they praised the effort and found the program fully compliant to all principles and requirements set by the Hellenic authority for Higher Education and all international standards for higher education. They indicated that “The School of Medicine of UOC has established a high level of teaching, research and clinical practice that places them among the top schools in Greece” “..the proposed plan was very well thought and covered all required fields… As a result, it was felt that the proposed plan was feasible, competitive, and it is expected to be highly successful”.

 The final decision on the accreditation from the Hellenic authority for Higher Education is expected by the beginning of June.
