As an Associate Professor of General Surgery, I serve at the General Surgery Clinic of the University General Hospital of Heraklion (PAGNI). My primary clinical interests include upper gastrointestinal surgery and the treatment of melanoma and sarcoma.
In the context of my teaching activities, I teach General Surgery, Gastrointestinal Motility Pathophysiology, and Professional Development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My research interests focus on the management of surgical risk in multicenter clinical studies.
Furthermore, I lead the Postgraduate Program “Oncology: From Oncogenesis to Treatment” and coordinate the ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) seminars of the American College of Surgeons in Crete.
